The main taxi station in the Brong Ahafo regional capital, Sunyani have received a temporal solution after dinpa news reported of its deplorable state.
Commercial taxi drivers embarked on series of demonstration over the poor nature of the station.
Passengers were compelled to board taxis by the road because of the nature of the station when it rains.
The Sunyani Municipal Public Relations Officer of the Assembly (PRO), Edwin Kofi Dartey spoke to dinpa news after the drivers demonstrated Monday October 1,2018 and assured them of a temporal solution where he indicated that chippings would be used to fill the potholes.
He added that, the station has been awarded to a Contractor and work will begin after the rainy season ends.
Dinpa news checks weeks after the assurance indicates that chippings have been used to fill the potholes as promised.
Some of the drivers who spoke to our reporters expressed gratitude to dinpa news for their efforts in finding solution to their problems.
They called on the authorities to fulfill their promise to them.
