Former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Dormaa Central in the Brong Ahafo region,Hon Gordon Asubonteng has challenged the Vice President to point out the number of hospitals built by his government in the last 20 months.
He was reacting to a statement made by the Vice President challenging the opposition NDC to name their social intervention policies put in place when they were in government.
Dr. Bawumia has said the NDC appears to be making unnecessary noise about Ghanaians experiencing hardship, yet they cannot point out a single social intervention programme they introduced in their eight years of government that alleviated the plight of Ghanaians.
The Vice President, who was speaking at the 2018 Annual Dinner Dance of the United Kingdom branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Young Executives Forum (YEF), called on Ghanaians to disregard the assertions of the NDC.
But speaking on dinpa 91.3 fm the former MCE Said members of the NPP always parade themselves with the introduction of the Health Insurance Scheme.
Meanwhile, they have forgotten that you can’t operate the health insurance in isolation with health facilities that is why the Mahama led government was building a number of hospitals, clinics and CHIPS compound.
He mentioned the provision of schools, hospitals, electricity and construction of roads as some social intervention policies that was very beneficial to the Ghanaian people at the era of the NDC.
